“Registre de mémoires“ was a research and co-creation project carried out in collaboration with a group of children and teengers living in a housing shelter in Ivry-sur-Seine, France. I am not the sole authour of the works in the links below, these works were produced in very close collaboration with these children, and in most cases, were led by them. Due to institutional rules and restrictions around privacy, I am not allowed to identity the work’s authours by their full names -- which poses questions about how children are denied claims of authorship over their work in participatory art projects.
This work is thus meant to illustrate my art teaching/social practice rather than my own personal art practice; although the two significantly overlap.
